Cincinnati, Ohio – Great American Ball Park will host Veterans Appreciation Day on Saturday, July 20, in Hamilton County paying a major tribute to local heroes who have served their country. Under the direction of Hamilton County Commission President Alicia Reese, this event aims to be a yearly celebration of the sacrifices made by our soldiers.
Over 2,000 veterans have already registered to attend this special event, which will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The day will kick off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9:45 a.m., officially starting the festivities.
Attendees could expect a variety of events and facilities meant to honor and assist soldiers and their families. This day is about honoring our veterans, providing them with valuable resources, and giving them and their families a day of joy and community connection.
The festival guarantees a fun day out for all ages by including free food, live music, and family-friendly activities. Nearly eighty companies providing vital resources—including healthcare, housing, career possibilities, disability services, and food assistance—will also provide veterans with opportunities for connection.
One of the highlights of the day will be the Veterans Treatment Court Expungement Ceremony at 12:30 p.m. held on the Fan Zone Stage. This event serves as a poignant reminder of the continuous help the society offers its veterans in every aspect of their post-service lives.
To further enhance the experience, participants will benefit from free parking in the Central Riverfront Garage, therefore streamlining the day activities.
For those who have not yet registered, online registration is still open until 2 p.m. EST on July 19; walk-in registrations are accepted on the event day. Along with a great chance to show thanks to people who have devoted their life to serving our nation, this first Veterans Appreciation Day promises to be a day of fun and mutual support.
