Mitchell’s Salon & Day Spa to open first downtown Cincinnati location in Spring 2024

Cincinnati, Ohio – Mitchell’s Salon & Day Spa is set to open its very first location in downtown Cincinnati come spring 2024.

Eagle Realty Group, which is part of Western & Southern Financial Group’s real estate division, chose the salon for a prime spot in the 550 At Lytle Park building. This place is a fancy apartment area right at the crossroads of Fourth and Pike streets.

This opening marks the spa’s fifth venue in the Greater Cincinnati region. It’s a significant move for Mitchell’s, making it easier for folks in Northern Kentucky to get to their services, the company mentioned.

“While this partnership is new for us, it aligns perfectly with where we see our brand moving in the years ahead,” Mitchell’s Salon & Day Spa CEO Logan Hines said in a news release. “(We’re) expanding access to a relaxing and rewarding salon and spa experience that prioritizes comfort, beauty and community.”

The spa’s new space will be 1,800 square feet and is situated near the Lytle Park Hotel and the Residence Inn at the Phelps. This location means more people visiting the city might drop by.

“Both hotels are developments of Eagle Realty Group, and Mitchell’s will provide a highly desirable amenity requested by hotel guests for both regular service as well as weddings and other special occasions,” reads a joint news release from both organizations.

Hines explained that the finished spa will feature three places for haircuts, four rooms for spa treatments, two spots for manicures, two chairs for pedicures, and two seats for makeup applications.

“It’s hard to put an exact number of employees as it depends on schedules, but overall Mitchell’s supports over 300 local jobs,” Hines said. “This location will allow us to fill these new hours and continue on a growth trajectory that will in turn create more jobs year-over-year for our communities.”

Hines mentioned she’s collaborating with Michelle Pinales on the design work, along with Peter Hilligoss and Jaclyn Ranton from MA Design for the spa’s look. The construction side of things will be handled by contractors chosen by Eagle Realty, but Ohio Woodworking will be taking care of the millwork.

The amount of money spent on getting the space ready wasn’t shared.

The part of the building that’s being turned into luxury apartments is expected to be finished in the early part of 2024. This building, which is 50 years old, is getting a big makeover by the realty group.

Paul Silva, the President of Eagle Realty Group, said in a statement that Mitchell’s is bringing a sought-after feature to the growing Lytle Park area. He praised Mitchell’s high standards, saying they match the quality of 550 At Lytle Park, the nearby hotels, and the revamped Lytle Park itself.

The group described this special project as including 29 rental homes with options from one to four bedrooms. These homes will have fancy finishes, appliances from Wolf and Subzero, gas stovetops, wooden floors, and balconies. People living there can also get room service from the Residence Inn at the Phelps and use many other hotel amenities.

CIG Communities is in charge of the management and leasing. Already, 40% of the project has been leased out.

The building was emptied in 2022. MA Design is leading the way on the architectural, interior, and experience design aspects. HGC Construction has been picked as the main builder for the renovation.

Eagle Realty Group, with its base in Cincinnati, does real estate development, provides capital, and manages assets. By the fall of 2023, the group was managing a mix of 116 equity investments, 289 mortgage loans, and 19.4 million square feet of different real estate across the U.S., with its managed assets worth more than $12.7 billion.
